Look guys - I don't know how this place has so many 5 star ratings - currently it has a rating of 4.2 - which is frankly, inaccurate - it's like... a 3.5 kind of place. I mean, the agedashi tofu was not particularly fresh, the seating is a tad uncomfortable, the service is middling (though you get to order food with ipads, which is very seamless!), the sashimi is passable (about the same quality as what you might get at Seafresh across the road), the lotus chips were pretty good, the teriyaki was kind of bland tasting... I was trying to defend this place, because honestly I enjoyed some of katsu dishes, but generally they were a bit too expensive and not really high tier - kudos to the kitchen for trying to do authentic Japanese cuisine but I wouldn't eat here by choice unless I was desperate for Japanese food. I mean, I would go to this place over the Tao a few doors down in a heartbeat, so that's something...?

Cheap cheaty meals. I've ordered tamago Don and it came a thin layer of egg over a bucket of (hardy cooked) rice. I've also ordered the fried rice with salmon that came with no salmon at all, just a bit of bonito flakes. Never again!
My experience at Izakaya Sasuke has consistently been brilliant, and has not matched the low-star reviews posted. Many times have had teriyaki chicken and sushi from here, not once was I disappointed. Great staff and wide selection of drinks too. Highly recommended. :)
I ordered sushi and was extremely disappointed. The rolls and nigiri had barely any fish, the rice was way over seasoned with sushi rice seasoning. The salmon was ok, but the tuna actually tasted off. I have honestly had better tasting and fresher sushi from countries that do not even have a coastline. I will not be ordering from here again.
Not only it was delicious, but I was amazed by the size of the box and the diversity of the food in it!! I paid 13.80 and got almost 4 times the 10-11.50 portion I get in shopping centres' food courts! See my photo (hard to see but food court container is on the top) ...

If you have tasted authentic Japanese food or happen to be in Japan don't go there. Hope this will explain all your doubts
Hokkien Noodles were very good. The ramen is alson delicious.
