I was at TYTO for an exhibition for Everglow. It was a nice morning out.

Didn't go 8nto the building but enjoyed the parkland for a picnic. Quiet, clean and relaxing. Not busy.
Beautiful.
Great place to spend an hour or a couple of days. Constantly changing bird life and flowers. Picnic tables, barbeques and walking tracks great place to relax or explore. Also a very good information shop with lots of info on the TYTO wetlands and the surrounding areas in Hinchinbrook.
Beautiful Wetlands and Broadwalk with viewing tower. Ponds full of turtles. RV Rest Area next to wetlands. Dump Point and potable water available. Don't forget to go down to mainn street and see the ceramic wonderful murals of cane growing and local history - see pics.
I want to see some pictures of bats.(Jan 31.2020) (59-inch wingspan)
Wetland gardens, good spot to stretch your legs and check out the local flora and fauna, needs more gardeners at present to remediate some issues from floods.
Stopped in at the Information Centre to get some directions to Wallaman Falls and ended up staying for the whole day. TYTO is surrounded by beautiful art and friendly staff. We enjoyed the Art Gallery, Library, the free wifi and the kids had a great time feeding the turtles. What a hidden gem in Ingham. Highly recommend visiting!!
