Absolutely mishandled almost every part of a property sale, including delaying the section 27 (deposit release to vendor) until a week before settlement, not answering emails or returning telephone calls and then delaying settlement by several hours, causing undue stress for all parties involved. Happy to take a 300 fee for the discharge however, but never offer any kind of apology and ignoring a formal complaint lodged to their complaints department. Will avoid ever being a customer again.

It’s not easy these days to find the time to go to a bank branch and ask questions or to be on the phone. I had a question regarding my upcoming overseas trip so I thought I use the HSBC chat function. It was instant and precise help with me achieving what I wanted in 2 minutes. People strongly recommend to use this function. Very good!
Gave them a go with a credit card but 6 months later I've closed it. I don't like the HSBC app, their complex processes and frequent delays. Staff are nice but not very knowledgeable about their own products or processes.
This bank is a joke, I asked for a current statement of my own account and they told me I need to pay 25. Withdrew my money and closed the account, every major Australian bank gives you one for free
After having a problem communicating with my UK branch and telephone banking went to this branch to try and get a phone call to the UK Initially poor service whilst most of the staff were either chit chatting to customers and cashiers not occupied and just seeming to be unconcerned I prepared to 'kick off' This proved to be not needed as I was attended to by the customer service 'greeter' Who kindly provide me with a phone link to the UK which solved the problem Thus after a poor reception an excellent service Therefore 4 out of five Thanks HSBC Collins Street
Customer service here is a joke, even you have a Premier Account. It almost feels uncomfortably comforting, that after you have the worst possible CS experience in your life, you searched the net, and you found hey actually it is not that bad, that some other people faced even worse things than you...
Terrible customer service and experience - total lack of respect and professionalism. Would not recommend joining this poorly run bank.
This HSBC bank on Collins Street has very helpful customer service. Furthermore, a gentleman named Sam was great when attending to my banking issues. I would recommend this bank.
