It would be hard to imagine a better business. They are currently inundated with repairs and services, yet they took the time to have a quick look at my daughter's flute which somehow was not playing the F key. Within minutes, it was all fixed and even though I offered to pay, they were happy to do it for free. I have also had my daughter's flute serviced here before and it came back looking so shiny and playing so well, we were absolutely delighted. We will definitely always come here for all our flute needs.
Great customer service, quick turnaround time, friendly, helpful team. Would definitely recommend! Update! Great service again! Having serviced a clarinet only a couple of months ago, we had an accident with it last week. Henry from Tom Sparkes was a great help - phoned around to find the part for me, then did a quick check that everything was still in sound working order. No extra charge. You cannot beat this company for quality and service.
Rob did a great job on my 35 year old Selmer bass clarinet. It came out of the workshop looking and playing like new. Rob was very obliging when any small adjustments were needed.
Fantastic service! Can highly recommend this business. I took my daughter's flute in for repair (we weren't sure what had happened - got a slight bump on the table and 3 notes would not play correctly).... within a moment Tom had sourced the problem and fixed it rapidly. He didn't charge anything even though I was happy to pay for his assistance. Really kind. Good old fashioned decency and service with a smile. Thank you Tom! (Have also bought second hand flute from him a couple years before - great service then too!)
What wonderful service I got at Tom Sparkes Instrument Repairs. I spoke with Rob about the issue with my daughter saxophone and he was very professional and thorough! Our saxophone had a problem with the neck of the instrument and he was able to fix it on the spot for me while I waited. Highly recommend these guys to anyone and will certainly be coming back to get our instruments serviced by them.

I took my son’s French Horn to two other repairers in Sydney who combined charged me hundreds of for their repairs. When one of the keys on the horn still didn’t work, I took it to Tom Sparke’s. Tom showed sympathy for me and took a valve out of the horn right there and then to show me the problem (corrosion). He even took a valve out of a new horn to show me what they should look like. He took ten minutes of his own time to fix the valve and didn’t even charge me for it. He also expressed concerns about the way the valve string was replaced previously and showed me how to do it properly! A month later, the horn still plays beautifully. “Above and beyond” doesn’t even begin to cut it for this shop. Tom, and his shop, are amazing. Thank you so much!!
