Excellent customer service! David has given me all the necessary information to make my dream home purchase happen. Compared to banks they seem to be way more aware of the real estate market, way more informed, at least David was. They might not offer the best rate in the market, but you get value for your money here. All the assistance is very worth it. Would definitely recommend.

Dale A was amazing!! I spoke to Dale 6 months before applying and just asked him about the process and how much I needed to save. Dale A kept in touch and walked through the whole process and explained very well and clearly laid out all the steps. As a first homeowner, it was incredibly overwhelming. Dale A was always very patient and caring and went above and beyond to help me achieve my first house. I would highly recommend Dale A for his customer service and going above and beyond to help me and always being patient. I don't have enough word to describe how thankful I am for him and so very blessed to have him to help me through it all.

Pretty slack customer service. Never called me back when I asked. Called at whatever time suited them which was NOT what I requested. Never made an attempt to ring back, even after countless emails back and forth trying to arrange a time/anything! I called them recently, automated "call back" with voice too fast.. I wanted to talk to someone but was then told to punch in my number!? - I called for a reason. Doesn't matter how long I have to wait, don't brush me off by giving me a "call back". I didn't request one - I called!! - Seriously fix your customer service side of calls you get. Either suggest a call back or email but don't lead people on to think you are in a cue.. but then brush them off? Ridiculous.
The one good thing about HomeStart was that we were able to buy a house. Simple as that. Once you're locked in though, it's not a great experience. Getting through to them on the phone would be great - the receptionist hung up on me twice. The third time I asked to be put through to the relevant department and soon after the call was interrupted. I shall be filing a complaint.
Both Shaun & Dale at the Salisbury office were fantastic to deal with & their communication is second to none. Dealing with no face to face meetings during the COVID crisis really stressed me out but, with their help I got my loan & house straight away.
Wast of times . Dont go with home start any more and dont want to deal in future
Don't Bother applying after you're 55 and a Woman, I have had 3 mortgages with Homestart, last time I applied with over 183.000 they told me I had to Prove I could pay back a mortgage even though I just Sold my Property in Daw Park, mucked me around and Now I'm Renting, very Sad indeed.
