I ordered an expensive (900) leather chair on 12th February as a 30th wedding anniversary present for my husband. I phoned on 1st March to enquire if it could be collected 2nd March, the anniversary. I was told Yes, to drive to the rear of the store and someone would assist in loading it into the vehicle. On March 2nd, my husband went to the store and was told it wasn't there. I went an hour later to query why I was told it was and it could be collected. I was told they couldn't help it, and I was given wrong and unchecked information. When offered a refund I accepted, but then when a cheque was being written meaning a weeks delay in regaining my funds I queried why an electronic transfer could not be done via EFTPOS machine. The skills weren't there, and I would have to return after lunch. With a 35km distance to my home, that was not reasonable either. As the only furniture store in the shire, I am disappointed with such lack of service, follow up to an order, communication and response.
