Absolutely terrible company with zero integrity. I’m desperate to get my lost diamond ring back and would happily buy it back had it been purchased by AEJ but unfortunately the rude and dismissive woman there today flatly refused to even look at a picture or entertain the idea that my ring had been purchased by them. Apparently items purchased are quickly shipped off to Adelaide. Spend your money elsewhere.

Absolutely love this store!!! I am a jewellery addict but I only like quality and these guys never disappoint. Such a wonderful range of fine jewellery for everyone’s taste. I always feel welcome and the ladies are so helpful and lovely. Definitely my one stop jewellery shop.

WARNING!! DANGER!! DO NOT ENTER!! By far the rudest, arrogant and downright disrespectful attitude by the two ladies supposedly supplying customer service in Adelaide Exchange Jewellers, after my experience today I prefer to describe it as it felt.......... The 1 and only store I had entered all day with NOT 1 other customer in store, it was a pleasant although odd start to a absolutely terrible and very very unpleasant experience with A.E.J. staff. First thing I noted when entering the store was the overwhelming feeling my presence had interrupted two elderly ladies conversation behind the counter. I smiled and greeted them politely" a sour, bitter unaudible response was slung back in a horrible manner with the body language to match a mix of sarcasm and annoyance rang through there voice while giving off a weird superiority complex. I was instantly filled with doubt and concern as my items were taken and returned far to quickly to be inspected and was told with a belittling laugh each piece's worth - 60cents per item or pretty much worthless! I was in disbelief, literally speechless! My partner, who was waiting for the verdict in another store and had the GIA reports with her for the Jewellery A.E.J staff had just reported worthless! We also had upto 8000 to spend on jewellery which after today's experience will be spent at a respectable Jewellers and never ever Adelaide Exchange Jewellers. By the way, I'll be sourcing the two staff members Gold medals for worst customer service of the year from a lead factory, bit of gold paint sprayed on....they won't know the difference.

Very bad service. We got there in the afternoon they weren't far from closing at 4. It wasn't 4 though yet they were shut. WOULD NOT LET US IN THE STORE THEN ALLOWED ANOTHER CUSTOMER BEHIND US IN!!! Just disgusted!!! CUSTOMERS ARE THE LIFE OF YOUR BUSINESS. The two staff turned their backs when we walked passed again. I will sell my gold elsewhere. Hobart store very bad unmotivated staff!

Well good to see the MANAGEMENT of this company don't really care about CUSTOMERS. I have made a complaint about my treatment at the HOBART store and because I don't want one of there generic emails as an answer.i asked for one of the MANAGEMENT team to call me on the phone but now they are ignoring me . Well guess what this isn't going to go away . Typical behavior of bullys who can't control everything???

MY worst customer experience at the HOBART store .I had worked in retail for 20 years and have seen a lot but the staff at this store were beyond belief. One in particular was condescending, rude, and basically called me a liar to my face not only once but numerous times. I believe this needs investigating and a written apology issued. Please do not try to fob me off with one of your generic emails .This could go further.

Completely unhelpful staff when we tried to notify them about stolen jewellery to be on the look out for.

0 star if It’s possible. Due to CoVid-19 restrictions for older Tasmanians, me and my mum went to represent and help my 83 year old step father to obtain what he needs to pick up. I have the receipt and ID’s to validate identities. I understand their protocols to validate a claim. However, these two women DO NOT have the RIGHT APPROACH to welcome and ask customer needs. There was certainly lack of guidance and information. I have explained my part to help how to sort out the problem but a woman employee clearly does not know what she was doing. Even worse, we felt being dismissed, unvalued and profiled. One lady was rude and clearly look at us with indifference. We are not thieves and clearly we will follow their protocols but nothing was explained to make it clear. I even recommended to call my step father to validate everything to make up with the absence. All these they should know beforehand. We are of Asian background but we are Tasmanians now for some years now. We may communicate with some difficulty and an accent but I really wish that they were more understanding and accomodating. There were no apologies from their behalf and we walked away with anger and disbelief that there are some people who does this.
