Amazing place. Staff are so informative and helpful. The history of this place is amazing . I think we learnt more here about the colony and it's hard workers and convicts than we did in school. It's an eye opener about how rough it was and how some of the ladies coming over were disappointed with it when they arrived. But how can you not love Tasmania ️ it is absolutely stunning and same with this home . The up keep is amazing and very costly . Cheap entrance fee and so worth the stroll around. Love how the rooms are done to show us what they had back in their time. Love love love this place. Do stop in when your up visiting Stanley .

Second time we have been. Equally as great as the first time. A great insight into the start of European settlement in this part of Australia.

Really interesting history behind the building of this house overlooking beautiful Stanley & surrounds. Small fee to tour the house inside.

Here's a bit of history I knew nothing about. It might have been list. Good on the Tasmania Parks Service for saving this important legacy. Wonderful views. Well worth visiting.

Set high on a hill near Stanley this site provides great views of the Nut. The building is restored in sections and not in others that I found particularly interesting. W spent a good while exploring the historic outbuildings and soaking up the ambience and the fascinating back story to this place.

Well worth visiting. Well preserved and good content to info boards. An insight into colonial history of area, plus grounds have scenic views back to Stanley..

This is a must do. Incredible history and beautiful buildings. The view down to the Nut from the walkway at the back is pretty special too.
