Ive read the others negative feedback about the total lack of support from the Health Complaints Commissioner. To continue my complaint on that avenue with him will be to call the complainants liars. I have been waiting at Clayton medical centre about my lung cancer which was spotted on a cat scan, apparently, about eight days ago. Apparently a ten centimetre inoperable tumour. Waited on a plastic chair at Monash Medical Centre for what was going to be a ten hour wait. They said they were so busy. No triage no checks. 3hours waiting in ER. Couldn't physically do it. Cam home in the cold. The public may care. Thanks and good luck.

Health Services Commission of Victoria should be closed down permanently. It's totally biased and not only protected the hospital's crimes, it aided them by committing their own crimes. When I discovered what really happened to my wife, being overdosed on medication, the process abruptly changed, and their lawyer took over our conciliation case, not only intimidating me, he got their own doctor to make a report full of lies, in which I have written evidence to prove it. After months of delays and lies previously, when I questioned their medical expert report, they quickly shut down the conciliation process and closed our case. There should be a Royal Commission into this organisation's corruption, and interview everyone who has rated 1star on these reviews here, I'm sure they have a horrific story to tell also. Going through this process with this Government Department, almost made me feel ashamed of being Australian, that these levels of crimes can occur in our Hospitals and Government Departments.
Complete waste of tax dollars. Another gov't organisation whose existence is pointless. They take ages to call you back, are completely unhelpful, and literally do nothing. Apparently dodgy doctors and clinics can get away with anything they like. 1st world country, 3rd world health care, which the health complaints commissioner is ok supporting! It is ludicrous to have a patient go through all the stress of complaining to their doctor, or clinic managers (who only support their doctors), before they put in a complaint to this lot. Talk about making peoples lives even more difficult!!
Had good outcomes with any complaint i have lodged with the health complaints commissioner. Every body i have spoken with has been polite and courteous and they have all ways contacted me back in a very timely fashion
I’ve had a pretty positive experience with the HCC. There was a bit of a delay in a case officer being assigned. However, that is probably due to the large number of complaints. I guess there wouldn’t be a need for the HCC if providers did the right thing. I’ve been assigned a case officer who has been helpful and my issue has now progressed to a conciliation. I have to say I’m astonished at the large number of negative reviews it’s not for me to judge but my experience so far in dealing with them has been positive.
Useless waste of Government money. Can't get the dates or information correct. Don't waste your time calling them. This service also gets 1 star as there is no option for zero. The people working at this establishment should be charged with theft of government funds, being paid to do a job they are not qualified or capable of doing.
Bunch of clown, no even reply. When my life is ruined
Waste of time and energy for us. The medical profession are not gods who can do no wrong, at the moment they can get away with anything and everything and they know it. Every review on here is extremely negative and our personal experiences and opinions are identical to most of the comments already made. HCC is a toothless tiger with no real authority or ability to manage complaints in any way. Difficult and tiresome to deal with even when most of the work has been done for them, it is still far too much trouble to expect help. HCC does not seem to want to hold the medical profession accountable for their wrong doings, where do we as consumers go for resolution when we are all let down badly? Things dragggg on for a ridiculously long time and just keep get flicked off and delayed and finally ignored totally. We think HCC should be thoroughly investigated themselves, we deserve a fair competent complaint process available in Tasmania State with clear avenues for outcomes and staff with proven capabilities to sort matters out. The medical profession are not gods who can do no wrong, at the moment they can get away with anything and everything and they know it. It has been said some staff might even be working in the medical profession themselves, conflict of interest there? Correct or not? Come on HCC get your act together for everyone’s sakes.
