The customer service at Hays Jewellers in Manly is amazing. Their knowledge of every item, if they do not have they will get it for you. All I can say is I have been shopping for gifts, plus items for myself for many years now and Hays is totally AWESOME..!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! I simply wanted to get a broken pin of a Pierre Cardin watch band repaired. They had to send the watch to the manufacturer as they couldn’t replace it in store. I ended up waiting 2.5 months just to get a simple quote from them. Their excuse for the long wait was that they had a backlog due to the summer holidays, far too long if I compare to other businesses and how fast they are during these times. But even worse, they wanted me to pay 160 (!!!!) to replace the entire band! When I asked them why they wouldn’t simply replace links if necessary, I was asked by this very arrogant woman if I was an expert. But isn’t this just common sense?? I decided to have the watch just sent back without being repaired. After calling and dropping by several times I finally got the watch back 3 weeks later, but half of the band was missing! They seriously expected me to take the watch back this way! I insisted to wait until they got the rest of the links back. Once I dropped by to get an update, this rude woman had the audacity to tell me that the manufacturer would just forget every single day to send me back the missing links – it’s fair to say that this behaviour is beyond rude. A week later I could pick up my watch in 2 pieces, with 3 side links missing. At this point I didn’t even bother to mention this as I was glad to have most of it back. Then I went to the House of Fraser in Castle Towers, and could get the watch repaired in less than an hour for 20 (for a new pin, I luckily still had spare parts at home so didn’t need more side links)! I can highly recommend this store to everyone unlike Hays Jewellers, their service was just shocking!!
Since moving to Manly we have used Hays as our "go to" jeweler for all our repairs. In addition, we have purchased a couple of pieces of jewelry, the prices are reasonable but more than this the service has been excellent on all occasions.
