One of my favourite hotpot restaurants in Sydney, I always come back for more when I can. It is a la carte not all-you-can eat, but the quality of the ingredients is much nicer and fresher than other restaurants with all you can eat options. You get what you pay for! It is also not much more expensive - I have been a few times in groups of 4 people and average spend is 30-40 which is very reasonable for the quality, and still end up very satisfied. Service is typical of Chinese restaurants (fast and abrupt) but you come here for the food. Delicious soup bases - I love the mushroom soup base, chicken soup base and spicy soup base.
Shancheng Hotpot King is a pretty fun dining experience. It is better to dine with at least four in your group to be able to select a larger variety of dishes. A self serve sauce station is now available, however the sauce currently costs 3 per person at your table. It cost us 30 for sauce even though only a few of the 10 of us had some sauce.
Went tonight with my partner, Very enjoyable - little bit confusing with the ordering experience but once figured we were good, helped by the staff the best they could too :) Very full and satisfying, great tasting hotpot - no complaints really, would easily go again.

The food was pretty good even it’s a bit expensive. However the service was really unpleasant especially from the male receptionist.

Favourite sichuan hot place in Sydney. I really think everything here is great - the portions, the broth flavour, the quality of ingredients and the service. I've been a regular customer here ever since stumbling upon the place couple of years ago. Never disappointed, it's my go-to for sichuan hot pot.
