Amazing tour of the distillery. If you enjoy whisky try this out!

Pleasant atmosphere and surroundings with countryside views. The food is great. I had the crispy pork burger with potato wedges and my wife had the orange glazed duck leg. We're looking forward to going back and trying more that the menu has to offer.

Great experience. Good whiskeys at reasonable prices (did a flight and purchased a bottle) and excellent service. Have visited 3 distilleries during our Tassie visit and this one was the best.

Went for lunch and to taste a few whiskies. Great food albeit served slowly. Lots of other people had the same brilliant idea we did! The staff did their best just lots of customers. The whiskies are great as well by the way. Highly recommend a visit. I'll be back and this time look to take the tour.

Awesome whisky, I had the "Hellyers Top Flight" tasting selection, 4 whiskies, hard to choose a favourite they came with a lovely cheese platter and less than 40. a nip of Southern Lights Vodka - VERY SMOOTH AND CLEAN- great staff, wonderful place, a must visit

Sigh. Having a couple of lovely hellyers releases in my cabinet; 10yo port cask 16yo Pinot, at home I was excited to tick this place off my list. I've been to many of the other Tasmanian distilleries and indeed Scotland's whisky trails. Hellyers was lacking. The ambiance felt like a 2004 TAB and was I expecting a buffet. The only whisky of interest wasn't available for tasting, and there wasn't really any benefit to visiting the distillery door as no ' distillery Only' releases. A distillery of such provenance really should invest in the experience their distillery door offers. I never went on the tour as was enroute to cradle mountain and snow was forecast so time was limited, but even so, I wasn't really inspired to either. Nonetheless it shows the real magic happens behind closed doors and will still be looking for upcoming interesting releases from them.

Beautiful location. We were looking to buy a bottle or two and taste some, and drove 2 hours out of our way for it. Unfortunately we were told that there was no space for us (I thought there were a few standing tables at least), not even for a whisky tasting, but we could join a tour an hour and a half later. We were not even pointed in the direction of the (gift) shop and just had to leave the place, no whisky in hand.

Tour was awesome. Would have loved to eat there but was booked out even though tables were empty. 20 tour with a whisky nip
