A great team that gets better year after year! I have had dealings with these guys through holiday rentals, residential renting & commercial leases for over 12 years. Even when we bought our home listed through another agency we got great advice from this office. Truly a 100% professional outfit always going above & beyond to assist.
Wet positive experience, customer service plus
We are a family of five and I'm also 7 1/2 months pregnant. We booked and fully paid for holiday accommodation for 8 days. We paid several weeks in advance and when we showed up to pick up the keys we were shown nothing but disrespect by their rude staff and were told we were unable to stay in the accomodation we had fully paid for in advance. When we asked for an explanation we were told nothing. I am still baffled as to the reasons. I will never go through LJ Hooker again. Utterly disgusted with their service.
We are a family and booked one of the holiday rentals through LJ Hooker in Harrington and had probably the worst experience we've ever had booking a holiday rental. Over the years we've booked over 15 holiday accommodation rentals up and down the coast of NSW and QLD - from Bribie Island to Bega - and this was the worst we've ever experienced. The house was way below standard - we had to clean the whole place before we could actually settle in. There was mouse-poo everywhere - including in all the cupboards over the crockery and plates, etc. Lights didn't work, curtains wouldn't work, the DVD didn't work (we went and bought our own) and we had to replace the kettle. LJ Hooker Harrington are quick to take your money but once that's done they couldn't give a toss about you or your family if there's a problem. When we mentioned it to the owners of LJ Hooker there was the expected response: "We had no idea" blah, blah. In the meantime we're paying several hundred dollars for a seriously sub-standard property. When we withheld a portion of the payment after having to extend our stay (not our preferred option), Mark Elmer (the owner of LJ Hooker Harrington) was on the doorstep within hours threatening to toss us, our children and our belongings out onto the street. He's no more than a thug and if you book through these people and aren't happy with the experience, expect nothing less. Once they've got your money, forget any semblance of service. If you choose to book holiday accommodation with these people, don't bother complaining if you're not happy. They'll throw you out on the street.
