Great authentic Italian... could not fault the dishes we had and the service was very attentive. The salad pictured was a special but damn good with figs goats cheese and crispy prosciutto!! Nice vibe too
Overall pretty good Good bits - Food was above average; great salad, great pasta - Atmosphere was nice and convivial Bad bits - Upstairs is difficult to reach; very steep and narrow stairs (was worried about my older father in law as he stepped up and down those stairs) - Pizzas: not my favourite - considerably salty and thin - Lighting: upstairs, it was difficult to read the menu as it was so dark. The worst aspect was the ceiling fan above us. The constant rotating flickering from the light was very much a source of annoyance
We have been going here for years and we loved it. The standard was always high. Always busy and the food and pizza great. The reason for my 2 stars now is because the owner was so rude to us last week that I will never go there again. I cant believe how rude and arrogant he was. Good bye good rittens.
Good food and service, nicely decorated restaurant. Neighborhood gem. I think one of the best Italian restaurant out there.
First time here after a very long break. My mistake. Delicious meal, shared from the specials - swordfish polpette, burrata on smoked eggplant plus a tomato and basil pizza. Delicate flavours. Friendly welcome, comfortable surrounds. Will return soon to explore more of the menu.
My first time to La Disfida in many many years and it did not disappoint. In my honest opinion the best pizza in Sydney. The diavola and Margherita pizzas were amazing. The lamb shoulder ragu pappardelle pasta was very nice although it could have used some more sauce and more meat. The gorgonzola and truffle arancini was a great starter too. Desserts were pana cotta and creme brûlée and they’re we’re both ok.
Amazing pizza! The pizza base is just perfect and the cheese in the top is sooo tasty!! One of my favorite Pizza restaurants in Australia!
