An amazingly professional and talented young man. Living in regional Australia it was difficult to find any hydrologist let along someone of this calibre. Reuben drove to our home and collected 250 year old Geo Clapham Briggs C1767 long case clock that had been in the family for over 60 years. He lovingly serviced and restored it to "as new" condition. He inspected, quoted and kept in regular communication. He explained the workings of the clock and gave clear and simple instructions on its care. We have since trusted him with several more mantel and wall clocks to service. A charming and delightful young man, passionate and knowledgeable about clocks who has our highest recommendation.
I took an elderly Seth Thomas regulator in appalling condition on personal recommendation to Reuben for assessment and possible repair. I was particularly appreciative of Reuben's honesty and frankness as to the condition of the clock and what it would take to repair it. Explaining the factors involved in the resuscitation of the clock, he left the decision as to whether or not to proceed to me, but pointed out some issues that helped me in my decision. A most professional operation, conducted in a most timely manner.
Reuben is a rare find in a modern world where horologists are hard to find. Reuben cleaned and repaired our 40 year old "Dutch" clock. This included cleaning the brass work so that it still looked aged and glued an area of the case that had come apart. The clock is now keeping correct time to an amazing degree of accuracy.
