Great food. Nice staff and the best beer garden I've ever seen

Went here for dinner and drinks last weekend. It’s a great spot with a nice outdoor area and cosy indoor dining area. I had the octopus with labne and salad, which was tasty and full of flavour. I’d definitely come back here.

We enjoyed our lunch, steak well cooked, fish slightly over done. Lovely outdoor area, very pleasant. Thanks.

Great neighbourhood pub, the back area and outdoor garden are fantastic spaces that feel light and airy, while inside you still have the classic pub feel with good viewing of sport. We all had burgers and they were delicious, will definitely be coming back. Oh and ignore the sign on the way into the beer garden - they are super dog friendly!!

I love the Barley. Love it. I can't describe why (possibly it's proximity to a big part of my life at the moment) but it's such a great bar. Distinct different sections always frequented by lovely, kind, interesting groups of people. From families to punks with their pets all kind folk are welcome. They do events on occasion ie trivia and have a fabulous courtyard for sunny day drinking. The food is average - if you've read my other reviews you'll find that I believe pubs should have a low cost menu (which the barley does not have) but perhaps I'm just yet to adjust to the new normal. When did burgers start costing the better part of 20?! Who knows. Anyway, don't come to the Barley because I think it's the best and I want it all to myself.

Beer Garden out the back is a little hidden gem and very dog friendly. Perfect for a lazy afternoon.
