An authentic Portuguese gem. I hadn't been to Petersham for about 20 years and worried it may have lost some of its uniqueness as a Portuguese enclave, so we travelled halfway across Sydney to find out and were not disappointed. Absolutely loved it. Great food and service. Portion sizes were BIG. Great Portuguese wines too.

One of the most genuine Portuguese restaurants you can visit in Sydney. Lovely interior and super friendly staff will make your dinning unforgettable. Food is fantastic and desserts are spectacular. We'll definitely return!

Incredible service. The wait staff are absolutely delightful and genuinely care for their customers. Despite the heavy rain creating a wet floor at the front of the store, the waitress was happily mopping the floor and greeting customers as though it wasn't an inconvenience at all. The variety of tapas is amazing. Particularly the garlic prawns, potato fish cake, potatoes in aioli and the octopus. Serving sizes are generous and quick to arrive at the table. The interior was styled to a sea/ship theme which added to the positive experience. Parking in nearby streets is convenient. Walking distance to the train station. - The front of the store (entry/exit) is where heavy rain was dripping out of the air con. Whilst the waitress did an incredible job to manage the situation and mitigate the hazard's risk, I think the owners need to find a more safe and sustainable solution for patrons and staff.

Great little restaurant and very friendly. I used to go regularly when I was young as its really nice for date nights. I moved out of area and had not come back for years so took my husband and it hasn't changed a bit. They are still serving my favourite dishes the seafood rice which is seasoned really well and the Molotov dessert which I couldn't even eat this time because of the huge portion. I'm definitely coming back for that Molotov and a coffee. I've always loved their customer service towards me and bonus I took my Staffy dog too and she was welcomed with open arms.

This was the first Portuguese restaurant I've been in Sydney (I don't believe there too many others) but I see no reason to look for another one, ok maybe to compare the prices, even though the pastel de bacalhau was delicious, we didn't like to pay 4 dollars each. The Bacalhau na Chapa was really good as it was the Camarão ao Alho, this last one a bit expensive (AUD 19) for 7 good sized prawn if you compare with the price of the Bacalhau plate (AUD 32). I was almost two years without eating bacalhau and I left the restaurant more than happy! So, despite the price, if you want some good Portuguese food and environment, I highly recommend you to visit them. Cheers!

One of the best meals I've had in Sydney, simple as. Fantastic service and food with excellent prices; the octopus and the pork and clam stew were the highlights amongst a series of dishes which were all at least 9/10. Can't wait to return.

I had a craving for Bacalhau (Portuguese salt dried codfish) and some Portuguese friends recommended this place. Gloria's did not disappoint! As others have said this place is a wonderful authentic, rustic, home cooked style restaurant. Very non-pretentious and very generous with serving sizes (befitting of its home cooked vibes). I recommend getting the Sangria, and as you'd expect their Portuguese Tarts are amazing. The most authentic I've had in Sydney.
