Absolutely gorgeous jewellery and stock. Well-priced. Staff were amazing. The manager took the time to show us the different opals and explained to us everything about them, including dodgy drawings lol even our young girls had more fun here, looking at all the beautiful opals, and learning about the fossils and gems, than being at Aussie world! Will definitely be coming back! Highly recommended

Really interesting place. Jewelry and products were very reasonably priced and ranged from all sorts of crystals and stones. I also did the gem-fossicking activity with my partner for a bit of fun and it was great. Below are some of the gems we found (a couple I bought elsewhere, but 95% are from one large tub we collected)

Definitely a good address when you're looking for something to do on the sunshine coast. This is one of the tourists attractions, situated between Caloundra and Australia zoo. Hunting for gemstones is the highlight to keep kids entertained and happy. Opals Down Under has one of the finest selections of opals you’ll see anywhere in the world. Coffee and beverages available. Very clean toilet rooms.
