Louis took care of my family heirloom in the form of 1750 long case clock. He was superb in restoring the mechanism, hand crafting missing components and keeping me upto date on progress. When all the restorations were complete (The case was restored seperately) he came to my family home and set to work the clock. He showed me the enormous complexity this particular clock presented and we were both thrilled with the outcome. A most excellent and passionate craftsmen. I can offer no higher praise.

Incredible, knowledgeable and passionate about all types of clocks. I began my convo with Louis about our mid century sun clock to replace the mechanism. He not only added a new quartz mechanism he made sure that the original brass hands would not be too heavy and trimmed them to work properly. I am so happy with Louis’ work and his communication is perfect. Thank you so much Louis for a fantastic job to a very loved clock!
My review here is only going to echo the many other glowing five star reviews. I took my 1970 German Krups clock to Louis with the hope that he would be able to gut the mechanism and replace it with a new one after it had stopped working. This was after I had contacted two other reputable clock repairers in Melbourne who wouldn't even give me the time of day with regards to the repairs, so to speak. I then took the clock to Louis who advised he could try and repair it, and failing that, replace the mechanism, advising it was likely to be the latter. However, as a testament to his horological skills, Louis managed to disassemble, clean and repair the entire mechanism, replacing the damaged parts, and the clock is now working perfectly with the original mechanism, a fantastic outcome. A well-deserved five stars from me with huge thanks for undertaking what I thought was a hopeless task!
When I approached AAA Clock Repairs with my tired and broken cuckoo clock I was not expecting Louis to be able to fix it. However, it now looks and works as good as new. Louis is clearly passionate about, and dedicated to, his craft. I was particularly impressed with the time he took to explain the fault and how to best care for the clock.
