Good friendly staff with a quick turnaround. Advertised opening hours are not perfect, but they are in fact very accommodating for after hours drop off and collection. Don't be afraid to ask.

Never go there if you want to replace your laptop charger. The guy gave me another one which functioned 2 days and now it doesn't work and he didn't wanted to refund me it. Its crazy.. I now have a charger which doesn't work for my laptop which could help another people which have a problem of charger if the guy would have accepted to take it back. No customer service at all: if what you buy there functions it's okay if not that's tough luck...

If your hard drive starts failing, or if you even think your hard drive is failing, stop messing with it and bring it here as quickly as you can. My hdd suffered serious damage, I was very close to losing a lot of highly important data (the hdd was essentially destroying itself, bit of a race against time). I was able to bring it to Trevor for a free assessment (and I mean FREE, for comparison, another place I called demanded a 150 minimum charge), Alpha Geeks will give you an obligation-free quote (which also happens to be the most affordable in Canberra by a LOT). They recover data on site (i.e. other places will send your hard drive off to Sydney or elsewhere, in my case that alone could have finished my hdd off, but also it takes weeks and costs a fortune), and, if you want, they will build you a brand new hard drive to put your data on (but you can provide your own if you wish). I could not have asked for better service, or for more knowledgeable experts in their field. My hdd started destroying itself on Wednesday morning, I got to see Trevor that very day (I'm panicking like crazy of course), with the best customer service of all time, he calmed me down, started working on my hard drive and on Thursday, everything was resolved. I have new hard drive back in my computer, and my data is completely safe. It scares me that had I continued to try and access my hard drive (which was slowly dying), the data may not have been saved in time. Again, I could not have asked for better service. If you have a hard drive problem go here first, you will be in the safest of hands.
He knows his stuff
The guys here do know what they are talking about and have relevant experience in the field for a number of years. In my experience they were frank and diagnosed my issue quickly and talked me through possible resolutions. They do have a flat rate of 79 to have your computer looked at and diagnosed.
Poor service. paid heaps of money to have my hard drive repaired to get it home and not work! also witnessed owner drop my hard drive and laugh it off. now its going to cost more money else where as he now wants to charge me more money to maybe not be able to do anything! over 10000 pics gone! I might add some time later i have had to pay someone else to hopefully retrieve files from broken hard drive!!! Hopefully the guys smoking inside the office hasn't made it worse or the fact he dropped my hard drive :-(
