This week I purchased a 2010 Volvo S40 T5 from this dealership. The staff were initially quite easygoing and receptive to making a deal on the car, and made the deal go smoothly - let us put a deposit down and take the car off the lot. Unfortunately, that's where my positive experiences with this business end. I drove the car for 2 days before the transmission started slipping and completely lost power and any throttle response coming back up a hill. Thankfully I was only a minute from home and managed to limp it back and park it. I proceeded to call the office at the business and was informed that the salesman who I had talked to over the phone that morning was on his day off, and that the resident mechanic was off on Fridays. I looked into my rights regarding the car, and since it had been less than 3 business days, I was entitled to a full refund for the cost of the vehicle under the Sale of Motor Vehicles Act 1977. I drove over to the dealership in my dad's car to hand in a letter to terminate the purchase. The staff were clearly experienced in dealing with confrontation from people discovering that they had been sold a lemon, and begrudgingly proceeded with the refund. I urge any prospective car buyers to avoid this place like the plague - heed the warning and take your business elsewhere.

We brought our Subaru Tribeca back in October...we are more than happy with our car. I found the service to be fantastic...we didn't know what we wanted and the sales people allowed us to try different cars and didn't push us into anything we didn't want.
Sleaziest bunch of people I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. To edit my review in response to the dealership: We returned the car because why would we spend more money at a company that has just sold us a faulty car after telling us how “good and powerful” it is? We still haven’t received our refund of 8200 despite being told I would receive it yesterday, I have emailed and received no responses and my partner has called. If there was some issue with the refund, the company has my phone number from the details I gave them when I bought the car and they have not once called me.

Avoid any interaction at all costs. As a neighboring business, our experience is that this flea bitten enterprise conduct themselves at the lowest possible level with complete disregard and respect for others. Arrogant and bullying in the extreme. Read the other ( genuine ) reviews.
!!!DO NOT BUY HERE!!! ACT Motor Traders is a joke! I bought a second hand Rav 4 Cruiser from them during August within 2 weeks of owning this vehicle the motor sezies. The salesman states that they would repair the motor free of charge. When we get the call to say the car is ready 2 MONTHS LATER then they ask me for 1000. When we ask for the money back for the car they said they don't have any money and would not let us take the key as ransom. The owner showed no remorse while we were explaining the issues he stated there was no mechanic checking over the cars that come through this site so he isn't aware of any issue that the car may have. !!!BUYERS BEWARE!!!
Worst experience ever. The car did not even last for 1 month and it started to leak and the crooked and unhelpful sales people did not even feel remorse..I do not recommend this place to anyone ..BUYER BEWARE
