My mother in law bought a laundry basket from another Freedom store but after assembly noticed it was faulty. Unfortunately my mother inlaw lost the receipt.Went to our local Taren Point store to swap it but they refused even though this laundry basket is only sold through Freedom and is their own product. Maybe a little flexibility by the manager would have made a much more positive customer experience.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I'm especially frustrated that after 5 and a half months we haven't had a single person call to tell us that the product is delayed again. Staff don't pick up the phones, and complaints are basically ignored. Don't buy from this place.
Worst experience ever! I bought two book shelves, they arrived damaged and I had to go online to lodge a claim, can’t call anyone cause of Covid? Makes no sense whatsoever. Lodge a claim online get a reply will automatic message that replies can take 7-10 days. They reply via email saying they tried to call me (they didn’t) so I had to email back and wait another 7-10 days for someone to finally call me. Had to go into the store where the staff are so miserable and sympathise with my frustration and tell me “what do I expect from freedom?” like that’s meant to make me feel better? Anyway pick up of goods arranged and good picked up, I wait 3 weeks for a refund and again I have to chase them for a refund. Rubbish furniture and rubbish service. Never again if I can help it. Filthy
WORST SERVICE EVER (if I could give 0 I would)!!! Do not buy a kitchen from these clowns as they are great when making the sale and then it's downhill from there. Our apartment has been days without power due to their contractors as as yet we haven't received one phone call back - despite around 10 from our end emails (again with no answer). And that's only one of about 5 major issues with this organisation.
I understand in this time that there are delays...I totally get that, in fact I work in retail and it has been a difficult time for us. BUT this review is not about the 4 month delay, it is about the lack of communication and transparency this Freedom store gave us. About a month ago we needed to contact them every couple of weeks to find out more information on the whereabouts of our Barbados mirror, people said the delay in Melbourne shipments meant it could be a couple weeks...no more information, others told us this was being pushed to their manager and they would call...they never called. We had to call multiple times and still had the same answer, someone would call back. When finally, after weeks of calling and having hardly any information given, we were told the mirror we ordered is now discontinued (although was not at the time of ordering) first of all when did this information come to light and why were we not informed, or warned of this happening? I am so disappointed in the way Freedom handled this situation and my only hope is that they will improve their customer service moving forward. I hate to be negative, so I really do hope a positive comes out of this situation and the way you handle customers is improved for future customers. You need to give customers all information as soon as possible, all people we spoke to were nice and as helpful as they probably thought they could be, clearly there is management role that is negatively impacting all other processes. p.s. as i write this review the mentioned discontinued mirror is still online, even though it does say low stock, it is still there for someone else to buy and become disappointed.
Happy to take your money but never deliver your goods! I purchased a rug which was out of stock in store but was on back order and we were assured it would be "2 weeks max". Fast forward 2 months and multiple follow up calls, and i have now been advised on my 3rd attempt at an update that this stock has been discontinued. Not only will i not be receiving my goods which i have paid for, but I had to follow up myself just to find that out. I was told someone will look into it and call me back and i'm currently writing this while on hold following up this call i was meant to receive. Not the first poor experience I've had with Freedom but will be MY last.
Dont purchase from this place. You wont get your order, they take your money and dont refund it or return calls so that you can order a refund. Try Oz Designs - much better service and you actually get what you paid for. We will be reporting them to Fair Trading.
I wish I had of read the reviews for Freedom Caringbah before purchasing our lounge. Disgraceful customer service, as soon as they took our money they were done with us. I have spent the last 3 months chasing up our lounge with very little communication from the store and when we did hear from someone it was incorrect information. Many emails have gone unanswered and getting through to the store is nearly impossible. I will NEVER purchase from them again.
