Had my first child at Frankston hospital who was born prematurely and needed to be cared for in the special care nursery for a week. Although both the midwifery ward and special care nursery were extremely busy I felt the care we got was amazing and the nurses and midwives were fantastic and clearly loved what they do on a daily basis.

Best emergency department by far south Eastern metro. Efficient, friendly and down to earth staff. Even with a large volumes of emergencies coming through the staff still got to those sitting in the wait room in a timely matter and kept us informed on what was going on.

Heard my handover getting passed on by professionals "she thinks she overdozed herself". I felt drowsy, wasn't deaf. And no, never did i mention to anyone I overdosed. Upon discharge, I got someone's else's discharge summary, again i was drowsy. Only once i arrived home i noticed it was someone else's. Says alot i guess.

Waited in emergency for 4 hours , with 6 others , not one doctor in site. At least let us know what's going on. Frankston Emergency needs a major overhaul, it worked better 20 years ago. I was forgotten about 10 hours in emergency they wanted to admit me. I was so distressed I asked to go home. I had an infection, I was in shcking pain and temp and they could not find where it was , well guess what frankston hospital, since my hand was swollen and I have had previous lymphnodes removed I'm pretty sure this will have something to do with my lymphatic system, where is the common sense. Goodbye frankston hospital, hoping never to return.

Had my 2nd baby here. The midwives complained outside my door about how long my name is? Weird. They left me on the same soaking bloody pad for over 12 hours when I couldn’t move from my cesarean. Asked 5 times to be changed, to which they said yes but continued to leave and not come back for hours on end and not change it when they returned, just asked again and then repeated the same thing. Eventually had to (literally) crawl out of my bed in the middle of the night and take it off the bed myself which was incredibly painful. Ended up in Emergency 5 days later with suspected internal bleeding and was left sitting there for 6 hours, was told it was a UTI with 0 tests done and sent on my way.. Have been receiving treatment elsewhere now. Will never, ever return. Hopeless place all round.

Slow Service in Emergency. Waited over 72hrs for mri scan to confirm a Stroke in a family member. Nurse on reception (young, blonde hair) was uninformative and rude. I am questioning How the nurses working in this hospital attained a degree, including national registration. Further, the majority of nurses here are poor in English which makes communication difficult. Communication is vital in Emergency. Shocked & Stunned at Nurses disposition, in comparison to Frankston Private.

The definition of emergency is clearly lost in this hospital. Over an hour wait and 1 person seen from the waiting room. No car parking as their covid testing took it all so I left after an hour in a 15min carpark afraid I ws going to get a fine aa I drove myself to emergency. First time I've visited this hospital as I'm usually at The Alfred for my illness but I've just moved down and all I can say is Frankston emergency is useless!! Big shame since I'll have to visit frequently..
