Menu seemed to be alright, not a bad selection of meals to choose from. Once ordered, we didn't have to wait very long for our meals, but we were all busy talking so I'm not sure of the exact timing. Waitress was helpful and cleared off empty plates as they came past. All in all, it was a nice lunch.

Travelling through Frankston today (having been to see the sand sculptures) I stopped for lunch at this hotel and am so glad I did. Was amazed at how quickly my meal came out, delighted that it was quite yummy (would love the recipe for the wonderful dressing on the salad) and found the staff really friendly and helpful. Was told they are closing next week for major renovations. Hope this leaves the service as good as it is now.
Worst service I can remember receiving. The food quality was reasonable, but very small portions - considering they were all meant to be share plates for a group of seven. Definitely won't be going back
I am shocked to see such bad reviews! I've been here a couple of times, and each time I have had a very pleasant experience. Very nice staff, I absolutely love the food and the atmosphere is very relaxed and nice! I'm going back tonight and I'm excited!
went here last week with a buy one get one meal for 8 shop a docket. 2 ppl ordered the Pork belly and could not fault it. 1 the scotch and 1 the eye fillet all decent size serves they where very good the only down side we asked for med steaks and got closer to a well done steak but still lovely. we all walked out complimenting the food, also found the staff kind and helpful. I never read the bad reviews until today but we are going again tonight so we will see if we just got lucky!!
Went here for a late Saturday lunch, and the food was absolutely amazing. Great value, great views, great value. Would definitely return.
I worked there in the 80s i when back for lunch yesterday what a transformation the food was great and service good but lacking a bit of experience specially on the cash registers. I was so impressed if there to be six star rating I would scored the DAVIES a SIX
This used to be a hotspot in Frankston but on our recent visit we found the food was bland and unimaginative, the decor uninspiring and there were few patrons. Sadly, the view from the bistro is about the only good thing going for this place now.
