Georgie and her team are always super helpful and knowledgeable with their product range. Whether you're restoring an old federation, arts and crafts or mid century modern residence, the team at Fragments will always do what they can to assist in helping you source what you're looking for. Items are not cheap, but of a much higher quality than the local hardware stores. Always perfect service.

Blows my mind every time. Makes you wish you were born in a different era.
We bought a new front door and surround, firstly the door chipped and the veneer that its made form started to delaminate so they changed the door (this was after I painted it black) so we received another which i painted black again just like the front door in the brochure. So when we came to fix the door, the side panel was 25mm short which cost me extra to fix. But now the weather is warming up the door is starting to warp so badly my kids struggle to close it let alone lock it. The service for what is meant to be one of Hobart premier shops is poor to say the least. I would not recommend any one to use fragments unless you want their metal fixings which are nice but avoid anything made of timber. We will now have to buy another new door to replace the poor quality door fragments sells.
What a beautiful store. If you are restoring a traditional home or just love the traditional - this store has a good range of items to choose from and good displays. I managed to purchase some hardware pieces for old furniture that I thought would be hard to find however Fragments had what I needed. A great place.
Recently visited fragments to buy products for our period house renovation. The shop is full of gorgeous merchandise but the women serving were condescending and bordering on rude. They also had poor product knowledge and could not answer our quite basic questions. I entered the shop feeling happy to be there and left with the feeling I'd be taking my business elsewhere. A real pity as good customer service doesn't cost anything.
I was visiting Hobart from interstate and happened upon this beautiful shop. They were very friendly and helpful and have an amazing range of products including handmade Tasmanian furniture (made by a man who actually works at Fragments). I'll certainly be going there again on my next visit to Tasmania!
What a beautiful range of unusual furniture .
Friendly staff,always helpful
