Excellent food, freshly cooked. I enjoyed every dish I tried. Great flavours! Seriously awesome food and the staff are very accommodating, attentive and friendly. It’s my favourite Japanese Restaurant. Excellent value for money also. Try it, you won’t be disappointed
Possibly the worst food ever in my life. Dont waste time and money here. Cooked meat are cold, looked like left over from other tables. Sushi is the worst. I would give 0 star if I could. Simply not for human consumption. I hope this brand would never existed.
For the hungry and unfazed, whack your 35 on the table and go to town. Unfortunately for those are seeking great Japanese food, you will be disappointed. The service was great and I'm sure large groups will enjoy the all you can eat menu. Prices are okay, especially if you order outside of the 'All your can eat' flat price.
Good service and hot food delivered in a reasonable time from ordering. The fish used in the sushi and sashimi doesn't taste fresh, as if frozen. Still a good time tho.
I've tried Okami a few years ago (Frankston) and the quality was much higher. Whilst generally okay, some warm dishes were cold when they arrived and most dishes left a fatty after taste that I would usually associate with fried fast food rather than Japanese. The staff were pleasant but the food means we won't be returning.
I’ve eaten at other Okami restaurants and really enjoyed the food and service. Not so with the Footscray branch, service was good but the food was below standard. Anything that had been near a fryer was greasy, the tempura prawns were like a stick greasy crunchy batter with no prawn present, only a tail at the end. Noodles were also below par and all the sushi and sashimi was cold and dry. Won’t be returning.
Loved it! Service was as fast and lovely as the food. Big surprise for a fixed fee place, we will be back. They were also great with our little daughter and looked after her well. Well done guys!
