Lunch is really good here reasonable price. 1 coffee, pot of green tea, a big donut, cheesecake, ice chocolate, 2 scones with cream and jam (6). Plus baby chino all for 29! Oh yes the flowers and plants are great too. Bought tones here when credits rewards for every docket but not anymore. Still love it, still buying. I wanted to jump on and write a review to express my appreciation of the wonderful service i received over the weekend. I was out gardening shopping with my lovely wife, she and i both share a passion for gardening and planting various flowers and various different vegetables and fruit. the service lady we spoke to, apologies but i forgot her name, i just wanted to say she was very informative and supportive. We came home with lots of new succulents that we planted that afternoon. Will be returning soon.

Decent enough place, it's small, a tiny area to sit down and have coffee, eat some food and relax. The plants and tools they offer for sale are fairly vast and the staff seem alright.

Flower Power (FP) have such an amazing assortment of healthy plants to select from. I have always experienced the staff to be so knowledgeable, professional and friendly and keen to assist in answering any of my gardening questions. The store is well maintained. Nellie's Cafe not only has delicious food and beverages but also a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I so love taking the grand children to the fun days which are normally held twice a year and also to the Kids Gardening workshops held during school holidays. They just love it! - as do I!

I rang with an enquiry about buying 10 Black Eyed Susan Vines. When put through to the horticulturalist, a bloke answered the phone. He passed on my enquiry to the horticulturalist, who was standing next to him. I could hear the sneer in his voice when he said "that's a weed. We don't stock weeds". I thanked him and hung up. I looked it up after the call, and there IS a kind of wildflower-looking plant that's also called Black-Eyed-Susan, but it's a completely different plant to the one I'm looking for. I don't know about you, but I'd expect a horticulturalist to know stuff like that. I even gave the bloke who took the call the name, Thunbergia Alata, but to be fair to the horticulturalist, that wasn't passed on to him. But I didn't pursue it, because after hearing the disdainful tone in his voice, I decided I wasn't spending my hard-earned at a place where the "expert" feels like he can treat me like an idiot. He might not have known I could hear it, but it's a character thing. I emailed them complaining about the service, but nearly 2 weeks later and no reply.

Several months ago I purchased about 20 square metres of Eureka kikuyu turf from Flower Power Mascot. This is their home-grown variety. It is full of the dreaded nut grass - Cyprus rotundus. It's impossible to control by digging it up because you never get all of the stolons which separate from the parent plant. The only real solution is to spray it multiple times while it's in active growth and kill everything. Then start all over again. I'm a career Horticulturist and can't believe that I strayed away from turf suppliers that you can rely on. Thank you very much FP. It is shameful that you sell this turf. Be warned fellow gardeners!

Stopped in for a spot of lunch, and was pleasantly surprised. Service is efficient and food of good taste and quality. If you're in the area I would recommend it, it's a bit of a hidden gem!
