The tall guy in the attic was fantastic, his drinks were superb and Tom was an awesome top guy. However, then came after I paid the bill all of a sudden we according to the manager "had drank enough" and we literally said we were only having 1 more drink and basically he forced us out of the place, which after spending close to 1k was a huge insult... he funked us off quicker than his last souvlaki and completely killed the night for all of us. Awesome, quality staff - disrespectful, greedy management. Really disappointing, because the venue and service was fantastic until then.

Beautiful venue and amazing drinks. The only down side was that the music was a bit loud for the small intimate space.
I think it's important to note that this is one of the best bars on planet Earth - ranked (check world's 50 best bars). I assure you that the drinks you order here will be the best they can possibly be, and the LOVELY staff will reward you for appreciating them. If you love cocktails, please give them your money. They really deserve it.

One of few places where people always do a great job. Cocktails are needless to say perfect with no compromise. Going to Black Pearl is not only for excellent drinks but also make myself determine that I always want to do a good job as a bartender too!
Not a place for posing, rather a haven for those who care about their drinks, who appreciate a superior cocktail and enjoy the attentions of a talented and knowledgeable bar tender. Been one of Melbourne’s most iconic bars in the past but sadly too many tourists now
