This place used to be THE place to go for a good feed. When the new owner took over it instantly went down hill. Portion sizes halved and the quality of the food did too. We used to be able to feed 3 adults with a 2 serve of chips. Now 5 barely feeds 2 adults! The loaded fries seen in my pictures are the old owner's small. You don't get that much in a large now. We still go there on occasion in the hopes they have changed back, but unfortunately for us, still the same disappointment. Below is my previous review from when the original owner Rodger was there. Great food at even better prices! Obviously it's busy sometimes and there is a bit of a wait, but the food is definitely worth it. The value for money here is unbelievable. This place has become my "go to" easy meal. The food is astounding and the servings are huge. This is the best fish and chip shop on earth.
Eaten here twice, first time they forgot stuff in our order second time mouldy cheese visibly was found on my partners chips cheese and gravy and after a few bites of my chips cheese gravy and bacon I could taste the mold on the cheese. Completely unacceptable, it's not hard to see when cheese expires.
Fantastic value for money, fast service and friendly staff!! Worth the 10 min drive from Mountain Creek! Have been searching for a top fish and chip shop since I moved here! Finally find it! Loaded chips are yummo!
I definitely would not recommend this place. I’ve eaten here twice now, the first time they got my order incorrect, charging me for a portion of gravy they did not give me. In the most recent occasion I ordered two portions of loaded chips and only to discover they were topped with mouldy cheese! Disgusting!
Great value, huge portions. The loaded fries is something to behold! The fish was large too. On the downside, there's always a queue and you can be waiting 20-30 mins to get your food.
