I recently enjoyed a week at Mali Mali with my wife and 3 children. It was a wonderful experience and we had a truly lovely stay. The house was well presented and an accurate reflection of the photos and description. The team at Executive Retreats were on hand to assist as required and the process was completed seamless. The pool and view was magnificent and the house was well appointed. The tennis court was well maintained and the surroundings were the ultimate in peace and tranquility. We truly had a wonderful time and will be back! Thank you for a lovely stay!

I will only echo what has been already said in previous reviews of this accommodation. Unfortunately the pictures on the website do not represent the reality of this accommodation. The house and pool area are in need of renovation and cleaning. The pool surrounds need a coat of paint and the mould on the pool tile grouting needs removing to make this area look less tired/dated. The master bedroom and en suite is very nice, but the remainder of the accommodation was disappointing. The isolation and the view are great, but unless there is some attention given to the accommodation and pool area, this remains a very over-priced place to stay.

Had a fantastic stay at both On the Beach and Clifton Beach House. With the houses being so close to each other we were able to catch up and hang out with both groups without any issues. The houses are exactly what you expect, the pictures don’t do it justice. Everything was clean, modern and very spacious with nice little touches like Shampoo and Conditioner. If you are lucky their might even be some cold beers in the beer fridge from previous groups. Plenty of beds and large TV’s with the beach right across the road. Everything you could want for your vacation. Loved every minute of our stay here. Would highly recommend to all my friends and we will hopefully be back very soon.

This review relates to The Lake House west of Port Douglas. It is the same feedback we provided to the agency after we returned home. There were quite a few things that affected the privacy and enjoyment of our stay, particularly the various tradesmen that had to attend to faults over 3 days. We were thankful that the faults were fixed but everything should have been working before we arrived. And we’re not sure why the pool man turned the pool filter off and was called back to turn it back on after we noticed the pool getting cloudy through lack of filtering. If we’d been aware that the main bedroom was part of an enormous gym and garage entry, and the ensuite was not private, we wouldn’t have booked this property. The level of comfort in that part of the house was minimal as it felt like we were sleeping in a commercial space (those ceiling lights are ridiculously bright for a bedroom). There was only one working lamp as one didn’t have a bulb. In particular, the room had no wardrobe to hang clothes and no ceiling fan so we had to keep the air-conditioner going. You also want to check the TV in that room as it wasn’t connected to anything. The outdoor lounge furniture is mouldy and the cushioning flat and uncomfortable. The bar fridge was frozen up so the drinks didn’t get very cold. We had to keep transferring them into the indoor fridge to get them cold enough to drink. Overall, aside from the beautiful landscape and views, we all found the Lake House underwhelming for the rate charged. We decided to leave a day early as we felt more comfortable in our nearby home. That wasn’t the idea when we booked a holiday to spoil our friends at an “executive” retreat.

Stayed at Shambhala - the house is set in an amazing setting with beautiful views. Couple of issues we struck with the house - it wasn’t cleaned to the level one would expect, but having said that Wendy organised for the cleaner to come back the same day and address the issues. The pool is beautiful, however, it would benefit from a good clean around the tiles at water level to remove the black mould. The dishwasher was also out of action for the stay. Some blown light globes also need replacing. I think the property would benefit from a close inspection prior to each letting. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend the property.
