I have been taking my fur babies to the Eltham Central Vet for many years. Their level of care and understanding is by far, above and beyond and I would be more than happy to refer any animal loving family to this clinic. You guys are the BEST

Great local vet service of some years'standing and with a strong reputation. Very happy with everything, except maybe the prices. Emergency response was truly wonderful. Definitely a good place to take your loved ones. Can also get grooming services.

My dog was sick months ago and my mother practically pleaded for the to give him a fecal test despite him being very old. They told her "I don't think it's necessary, take him home and discuss with the family tonight. He's old, his time has come." My mother said she would pay and they still refused. We took him to another vet and they tested him. Gut bacteria was found and now he's acting young again months later. If we had not left this vet, my dog would be gone now.

After taking my pets to ElthAm Vet for over 20yrs and probably spending over 10,000 in that time, today I asked for assistance in medicating my dog and was prepared to travel 15 kilometres a day so they could assist. I was advised they were very busy at the moment and I would have to pay a consultation fee every day for a procedure that would take 2 minutes. I have no problems with their thoroughness and care of my pets during that time but thought they might be happy to accomodate me in this instance as there is no one at home to help me. Very disappointed that my loyalty to this practice is not reciprocated. Pam

We went there because our senior cat (11) was starting to have eyesight problems. To keep it short, ended up paying for 2 expensive checkups, one of which was by an eye specialist, only to NOT have the cat's blood pressure checked because "the machine is broken right now". We were only prescribed thyroid meds and were told that's all our cat needed. After a week, the cat's eyesight got worse until she stopped seeing altogether. We visited a different Vet who saved us when they measured the cat's blood pressure only to realise it was not far off the DANGER zone! Unfortunately by then, her retinas had completely detached & she was permanently blind. Thankfully the blood pressure meds put the cat more at ease & we started seeing some of her energy come back slowly over time. I honestly don't know what we would've done had we not gone to another Vet for a second opinion... I am extremely disappointed & upset about this experience, and would wish it on no one else or their pet ever.

These vets have looked after our dogs and cats for years, would not go anywhere else. We recently had to put our cat "Jack" to sleep. Deanna and staff were so caring during the process, giving us time to say good bye.
