Stumbled across this spot on our way to Point lookout. What a pleasant mistake! Paul is very knowledgeable and gave us informative and entertaining intro to the self-guided tour. Bought some amazing smoked trout and ate for lunch in their picnic spot. Great family memories!

Opened for visitors this week and already had a few visitors. It’s 5.00 per Adult and 2.50 for children. Large Bag of fish food is 1.50. We watched an introduction video which is really interesting. We then looked around a small display of aquariums on our way out to the tanks. There are different tanks of trout seperate by ages, the trout went nuts for the food. We then strolled through the hatching area. We bought smoked trout which were packaged in a few 100 grams, however it is 67.50 per kilo. Well worth visit.

I highly recommend for anyone visiting the area. Greg was brilliant, we had a great chat about the rivers of nsw, the hatchery’s history, the fish, coping with drought, all sorts, and he made it so much fun for our girls 4 and 8. The smoked trout for sale was top class ...

There is a visitors centre with a video and a few tanks of fish. You can walk around the hatchery and feed some of the trout, it's pretty interesting and the fish are fun to watch. Well worth a visit. They also sell smoked trout here.

We arrived at 2pm after driving up from Coffs to show our kids and they were CLOSED!! A waste of time, so annoyed as they advertised open 8am to 3pm.
