I was a bit apprehensive on coming here after reading a few of the reviews however, I’m glad I did because it was great! On arrival the fella at the counter was incredibly helpful! After I had a shoot I had a quick chat to one of the range officers who was also great !

Visited for the first time today with my young son doing his Safety Course. Could not have been treated better. The RO's and staff were really helpful and supervised my son for his first shoot giving him great advice. A very pleasant atmosphere. Very busy first thing Saturday morning but after the first few firing sessions benches became available so was no drama. Will be going back again soon.

Suffer the long drive and go to Silverdale range. They allow shooters without a license to be supervised by a firearm license holder as long as they are under direct supervision and wear a blue vest. They allow loaded magazines and generally leave you alone, unless of course you break the rules or ask for help. Exactly what most people want. The guys there are friendly and happy to help and because it's so far away, you can usually find a bench (unless it's a competetion day, in which case you may wait a little bit). It's also a bit nicer than Newcastle because the targets are on level ground, not an incline like Newcastle.
