I had a very disappointing experience at this practice. The doctor though was professional and I looked forward to him treating me, until an altercation with the reception staff made wish I'd never set foot there. I made multiple unessessary phone calls between this office and my radiology office to get the Dr. access to my scans. Reception here were unhelpful and reluctant in following up with this. The (less mature) telephone respondent continually spoke over the top of me in a dismissive, rude, patronising manner and tone. She was non-obliging and her secretarial skills were rudimentary. I did not appreciate her attempts to try make me feel like a second class citizen or try to turn the tables to make out it was my fault when I addressed her about her poor behaviour. I ended the call, telling her to show some respect. Upon me recalling to get the issue sorted still, the old receptinist answered and also proceeded to speak down to me in a directive, harsh tone, calling me rude. I was in tears at this point and frustrated I was getting no where with these two telephone answerers. Reception here were unprofessional, could not regulate their personal emotions and communication skills were inept. Patient welfare was dismissed to the point that it appeared the office staff influence who can attend this practice.

Dr Neil Smith, isnt only a top performing Urologist, he is a very caring human being. I first met Dr Smith after Prostate Cancer Surgery. We sat down and he explained the proceedure and what it entailed..He made me feel positive, re-assured so the proceedure went ahead, successfully... In the meantime I was seeing another Urologist for a seperate matter, over 5 yrs and 3 unsuccessful operations..I spoke with Dr Smith about the problem/s... he was very reluctant to do anything and said "leave it with me"...A short time later Dr Smith rang me and said he would attempt to clean the mess up..which he did successfully.. Thank you Dr Neil Smith for your friendly manner, professionalism in my proceedures.
Dr Neil Smith has performed 3 kidney stone operations on me over the past 8 years - all of which have been successful with no complications. He is a highly skilled surgeon with a reassuring demeanour that puts you at ease. He is thorough, professional and an excellent communicator. I would highly recommend Dr Smith to anyone who needs a first class urologist. You will be in good hands.
BEST UROLOGIST!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Very professional on each occasion. He runs on time and gave me all the information necessary for my upcoming surgery. His unhurried manner put me totally at ease and reassured me. I was in fantastic hands. Dr Smith cares about the patient and not the . Can't thank him and his lovely girls enough for all their care.
To all that may be interested I am a long term prostate cancer survivor. I had the pleasure of meeting Neil seventeen years ago and his advice saved my life. Without his expertise things could have been very different. I have nothing but admiration and a wonderful appreciation for Neil. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this fabulous surgeon to others. His staff are always A1.
A potentially bad journey made good by a great doctor. Not only the outcome but the whole journey, very professional, caring and informative. Not to understate the statement but you are in "good hands". Highly recommended. As a side, very informative on rugby needs some support as his team is not doing too well.
