they make it way too difficult to file a complaint in an attempt to avoid taking any responsibility for their actions. after 12 back and forth emails wanting to know why a replacement bus didn't bother to show up, which resulted in me having to spend 4 hours walking home, their final response was the only way this complaint can be pursued is if i can provide them with the name of the driver.

Where do I even start! Train delays are simply the norm now but what is exceptionally frustrating is the destination (Southern Cross). Firstly my train was taken out of the loop (Frankston Line) until 2025. I’ve dealt with that but when a train runs late and gets into Flinders, they simply cancel the next destination being Southern Cross and just reverse the train often without clear announcements!!! SERIOUSLY! The PTV app notifications is hopeless, the timetable is hopeless, the system is hopeless, the entire train infrastructure is hopeless, it’s an embarrassment to the state of.Victoria!

The unpredictability of where the trains go is infuriating. I'm sure the staff are doing their best and the network needs investment, but having your morning commute ruined be the train suddenly going the other way that you expect is unacceptable.

Wish there was an option to give negative stars. Metro Trains is a joke.

Mernda line is a joke. Not upto the standards at all. Constant delays in morning trains towards city. Congestion in the city loop or unforeseen safety incident is always used as an excuse. No regard or concern for the public. Deserves negative rating but there is no option.

Farcically incompetent and a state embarassment. Expect: 1. Constant rail network faults. 2. Delays of up to 30 minutes getting into or out of Flinders St station. This is the rule rather than the exception (especially if the weather is not perfect). 3. Inexplicable temperature control decisions (eg the AC seemingly on full crank during 15c weather). 4. The route stated on the official timetable, Metro's Journey Planner (via the website), and overhead platform display screens (eg whether direct or going through city loop or not) being completely different to one another. 5. Perhaps worst of all, no refunds or other compensatory offerings after they F# up your journey. If one were to measure the trains' punctuality appropriately (ie arriving and/or leaving the platform within 1-2 minutes of schedule), punctuality is close to zero. Metro may be working with decrepit infrastructure, but Melbourne's (and the rest of Australia's) rail operators appear to be worse still. I don't often burst out laughing in public, but when even the overhead voice announcements about faults and delays don't work, it's hard not to. Would give zero stars if I could.

So the 421 pm express from Flinders str gets cancelled, no explanation , jump off and wait. Bad service.

Saw a new system on the train today was quite surprised by it, looks great and helps me from getting lost. Trains are cleaner then usual, wish it was the case before covid. Stations on the Craigieburn line are not being maintained or cleaned, why? I don't know! Would be nice to see more staff at train stations helping thier customers, or someone who gets lost (not myself).
