Really enjoyable stop-off. Quite a few areas to explore (well within walking distance) and dogs are allowed too which is great. A few conservatory areas, open-grassland and smaller passage walkways through fountains and sculptures. There's a lookout tower which looks a bit creepy (graffiti everywhere), and some very narrow steps to the top, but great views once up there! There's also a 'scenic drive' which is okay, but it's better experienced getting out of the car. Worth a visit (less than an hour) if looking for something to fill the time.

Nice enough gardens. Not as big as it seems. Scenic drive around the gardens wasn’t the nicest. Not even five minutes. Lots of parking in different areas. Dirt road. BBQ facilities. Few tables and benches in different areas. Two toilet blocks in different areas. Decent enough. Couple of bins. Creepy tower was okay to climb. Two levels of viewing. Top is covered in ladybugs that will buzz into your hair/face. Lots of graffiti. Nice view. Few statue things around gardens. Small conservatory. Different areas of trees. Not many different varieties of plants. Fernery is nice but smells terrible. Majority of gardens are dirt paths but there are some brick pavings. Pram and stroller accessible. Wheelchair accessible from car park/tower to the cafe and toilets. Dog friendly though there was a fair bit of dog poo on the grass. Good spot for lunch. Spent about an hour here but can easily see everything in half an hour or less. Only takes ten minutes to walk around the whole garden.

It was smaller than we were expecting it to be, but serene and beautiful nevertheless. Some wonderful old trees that are worth admiring while taking a relaxing walk around the gardens.

We stopped by here on the way to Daylesford. No entry fee. We parked the car and walked through, it’s very small and took less than 20 minutes to walk. Toilets were clean. We went in the car and did the scenic driving route which was less than 5 minutes. I definitely wouldn’t go out of your way to come here but nice place to check out if you’re on your way to Daylesford

We drove to our last stop at wombat hill and you have to climb up the tower to enjoy the view. It is a winding road but a good place to rest with temperature over 30degrees. There are heaps of big trees and they really look old and very historic.

Excellent place to spend time with family and friends. Pack a picnic and enjoy the day in yhe park. There is a cafe available for hot drinks and food (closes at 2.30pm). The gardens very well maintained and each viewing area offers breathtaking views. Ample parking available.

High up on Wombat Hill Botanical gardens in Daylesford is a great place to visit, it has some of the oldest botanical plants in Victoria. The Begonia hot house is amazing with huge bright colours and other plants too. Lots to see and do in this old Victorian town.

Lovely garden! The trees are amazing and a must-see for anyone into gardening and plants. The walks are easy and there are lots of open spaces for picnics. A great pick for a family day out!
