Another stunning addition to the State Heritage building; this beautiful building, described as Interwar Stripped Classical architecture (*Heritage site information) dominates this corner of Market Street and Castlereagh Street Sydney. The most notable features for me are the articulated windows which highly dressed as special features of David Jones stores. The original fabric and façade are still very much untouched with minimal changes to the interior. This is not just an iconic building for shopping excellence but an elegant addition to the historic heritage history of this gorgeous city of Sydney. Worth exploring for all ages and backgrounds. Great to have these heritage buildings preserved for generations to admire.
