I have always loved this store until recently. Nov 2020, I took a friend to Maleny for a visit as she had not been before & after a lovely lunch, plus wandering through shops we visited the Crystal Cafe & enjoyed browsing their jewellery displays when I spotted a beautiful pendant. My friend who was with me celebrating my birthday, un-be-knowns to me purchased this gorgeous pendant for my birthday. I loved it!, having only worn it 4 times, I went to put it on one day only to find a gem stone missing,.... I called numerous times, no answer, no answering message even. So today I drove up to Maleny, only to find both male AND female owners there did not want to know about this faulty piece of jewellery, they were rude & dealt with me very poorly. I urge people looking for beautiful crystals & gemstone jewellery to spend their money elsewhere. This pendant wasn't a 20 item, at over 200 dollars, I would expect better follow up service than what I received. I am a legitimate customer & not fake, like they like to make out with poor reviews.

I have made quite a few purchases over time. Many times I come to Maleny to visit, once I checked and you said open, I came with the intent of visiting your shop as I had seen something I liked previously but alas you were closed. I drive 2 hours to visit Maleny. Many times you say your opening hours and when I get to your business you are closed! I have phoned and no answer! I asked locals when you are open and they tell me your opening hours are unreliable! You have a shop full of beautiful crystals and jewellery and you make it difficult for your customers to know when your open! I checked on the internet and it said open today, so I thought NO! Best phone before making the drive but no answer ..no message to indicate your opening hours...nothing! I have been in business most of my life and when I say I’m open I’m open if something happens and I can’t be open I make sure my answering machine /internet lets my valued customers know and gives them the option to contact me. When I have been in your shop it feels to me the the male owner really doesn’t have job satisfaction in the retail side of business.... I have told people about your business and some have said oh it was closed.. Word of mouth is our best and our worst advertisement.... Hopefully you will take on board what I have expressed and not just knee jerk react! Cheers Ngaire
Friend raved about this place & said its a must see in his town. He is totally right. Great & amazing crystals. Really enjoyed my visit. Will recommend. Owner took time to chat & was very informative.
Guy sells faulty items and blames the customer before refusing any further communication. Never received such a childish response and baseless accusations when asking to return a clearly faulty item. (His straight up denial of any personal fault is demonstrated in his response to this review.) I even brought my case to consumer affairs, where it was validated, and still no cooperation or adult communication from the seller - obviously knowing I wasn't going to resort to a costly court case for a single piece of jewellery. Grew up in Maleny and never had a problem trusting store owners till now. Do yourself a favour and find crystal store that has a bit of integrity (and better coffee). (Apparently he's also flooding this page with fake reviews to cover this one up. No reviews for months, less than 35 in total, then bam, 9 positive reviews out of nowhere in the couple days since I initially posted this, all from brand new google accounts. Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Ironic considering how he insists his negative reviews are all fake. Looking back, the vast majority of positive reviews are from google accounts that have never had any other signs of activity. Go figure, this is the sort of business we're dealing with here.) I am a long time collector of specimens. This shop has a great range. I call the Crystal Cafe the Christmas Cafe because I spend time eyeing all the pieces to add to my collection then send my wife in at Christmas time to buy them for me.
