I decided to write this review (using my husbands account) after reading previous comments about the owner so I would like to share my personal experience. In short, I found the owner to be extremely polite , courteous and didn’t try to use ‘hard selling tactics’ even when he knew I was only making an inquiry about a pair of earrings (on the 3 Jan, afternoon). Also I’m a female Asian, so based on my experience I don’t believe he is a racist at all, if not the total opposite.

Owner is a kind man and generous lover. He even helped deliver and install my new Fisher & Paykel toaster oven himself. He stocks a great range of consumer electronics including the latest Beats by Dr Dre headphones and vape products. Five thumbs up
I've been to this pawn shop on & off since the early 1990's, He's a Top Bloke. He's Always been fair. I'd recommend him any day
I use to spend money here but the shop has several discriminatory signs out the front now which is keeping us away. Not a fan of this and they are not necessary. Keep your hate speech to your self.
For more then 10 years I've been dealing with Crows Nest Pawn Shop. The service has helped me on many occasions, providing the cash to meet every day needs through tight times. Being reliable & fair in all my translations without the stress that comes with the larger organisation. Couldn't be happier with Robert and the personal service he provides. I have no hesitation in recommending Crows Nest Pawn Shop .... when needed. Much better then running up debt on credit cards .... which suits me fine

RUDE IGNORANT LYING OWNER Apparently immediately after answering a question he finds it acceptable to hang up on someone. I returned the call to ask if he just hangs up on people after he answers a question, as i had a few more enquiries I quote" i don't need a lesson on how to run my business" so apparently hanging up on someone is a good business model! Pathetic service, i will take my money and time elsewhere and will never return! How is someone suppose to know you have a shop full of customers if you don't tell them and juat hang up on them? Maybe you think everyone else can read minds since you can't.... So your saying having a shop full of customers makes it ok to hang up on a customer rudely ?Not even letting them know you had a shop full of customers. Got it! What service! If there was an option for -10 stars it would be applied FYI asking a question is not giving advice, Ie " do you just hang up on people immediately after you answer a question" i am seriously wondering....... The owner then decided to reply with a story that did not unfold the same. The first time you answered the phone it hung up almost immediately after you answered and said one word. After answering my question the second call you probably didn't hear anything because you blatantly hung up the phone IMMEDIATELY. Why didn't you just not answer the phone, or say " do you mind holding please, i have a full shop" ? Because you don't know how to run your business on a customer service side of things! What do i care if i return, you and your customers should! Yes by all means make a stupid snarky remark towards my business, it shows how much you actually care about your customers! POOR BUSINESS MODEL/PRACTICES When i started to give you advise? BAHAHAH I simply asked a question, which you poorly answered l. (GO FIGURE) Note when i said i have a PS4 you said " I'll stop you right there mate, i don't buy gaming centres " then immediately hung up
