Chickpea and spinach curry on a wed afternoon. No frills vegetarian curry shop. You come here for the cheap and delicious food especially good for budget vegan/vegetarian finding food options. Recommend to try at least once for those who are adventurous

This is a no-frills Hare Krishna run vegan/vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Melbourne. It's similar to Gopals just with less options. Basically, it serves a set lunch and dinner menu, with a different meal each day of the week (Moday to Saturday). For example, Monday lunch is Satay Vegetables with Basmati Rice and Raisin Halava & Custard dessert. Monday's dinner is Chickpea with Vegetables in Pumpkin Sauce served with Cous Cous and Apple Crumble for dessert. The daily menu consists of two courses along with a cordial or lassie. The best part is that it's an all-you-can-eat! It's also both eat-in or take away. Crossways is not a fancy place. It's a no-frills restaurant serving inexpensive but healthy meals that are like home cooked. The service is very friendly and the staff very courteous and most helpful.

GREAT LOW COST OPTION FOR HEALTHY VEGETARIAN MEALS There is nothing fancy about Crossways but that just adds to its street cred! No-frills setup which is more like a school canteen than a restaurant but you get an "all you can eat" offering of healthy Indian-influenced vegetarian meals (for just 8 if you are a student). Friendly staff. People with mobility issues - you need to negotiate a flight of stairs to the first floor dining hall.

Cheap and tasty meals and a classic dessert that reminds me of being a child growing up in the U.K. I always stop here when in the city and need something cheap and healthy to eat. Atmosphere is relaxed and inviting with videos of spiritual leaders and documentaries on the tv in the eating area.

One of the good place to eat Indian vegetarian meal. The place is situated at first floor and is very neat and tidy. All you can eat is offered in approximately 8 ( lower prices for students and adults). It is not proper restaurant and they offer only one dish ( of course changing everyday) with rice followed by sweet dish. Two types of drinks are available. The persons serving here are really nice and friendly. I will recommend this place.
