Spent a serene Easter Monday afternoon under the glorious foliage. Ample parking spaces and clean bathroom facilities available. Nestled in the Adelaide Hills, a short 20 min drive from the city makes it an ideal spot for a picnic with family and friends.

It’s an amazing place and a treat for nature lover. The best part, it’s just 30 min drive from the city. Good parking area, clean toilets and coffee van are some of the conveniences. It has beautiful small lake and few gardens containing lots of varieties of flora. A must visit and re-visit place..
If you enjoy walking around with your camera to take landscape photos this is a great place to visit. So much space for families and to just wander around in. In Autumn the changes of the leaves is beautiful. Overall a really well kept location with friendly and helpful staff; plenty of facilities. Worth visiting.
Very nice, well kept gardens. Lots of wildlife, saw a kookaburra sit in the tree for about 10 minutes. Sprinklers were on all day though so it was hard to walk up and down the hill without getting wet.
Great for sitting and contemplating life and all its beauty, going for beautifully scenic walk, taking a picnic to share with friends, learning about botany, yoga on the lawns, bird watching, getting landscape inspiration...I could spend hours here and have been more times than I can count!
Mt Lofty Botanic Garden is a peaceful and beautiful place where you can spend your entire day with family. The magnificent autumn colours of all the trees, shimmering reflections of golden sun rays on the lake, and chirping symphony of the birds, all make you appreciate the beauty of nature. You can choose to rest on green grass, bring a rug to have picnic with your family, or go hiking around the hilly areas. Enjoy nature at its best in this magical place. Highly recommend for anyone who visits Adelaide. Make sure you enter at the lower entrance.
Beautiful Hidden Escape, located just outside of Adelaide Central. Worth a wonder, absolutely gorgeous with name tags of plants growing within the park. Sadly NOT PET FRIENDLY, so your furend stays home and misses out. Perfect opportunity for a great photo.
Wow what a walk. This was probably the hardest walk ive ever done in my life. We walked from the summit to the waterfalls at Mt Lofty in Adelaide. It was 8 kilometres round trip with the journey back to the car at 4km long the hardest at virtually 45 degrees most of the way. Yes thats 4km of nasty hills. Well worth the trek, a must do. Get a bit of fitness under the belt before you go unlike me who went off the rails during covid piling on way too much weight. Age comes on to also. Haha
