Well presented friendly& very clean with a good supply of wood 4 the fire plus a couple panel heaters as well. Noice warm hot water. Great bush setting.
Nearing Cradle Mountain, well before check in time to Highlanders, we received a cheerful text from reception to say that our cottage was ready and please advise of our arrival time so that they can get the fire going. We arrived to a warm welcome from the manager and a warm cottage too. Highlanders is in a great position, directly opposite the visitors centre where you catch the shuttle to Cradle Mountain, get information and top up with a snack and coffee from the happy staff in the cafeteria before hopping on the shuttle. At night we were able to get to our dinner venues on foot. No need to use the car for the whole stay. Button Grass Cottage was perfect for us. It is spotlessly clean and well set out with a rustic, Bib and Bub bed. It snowed on our first morning, so we had no problem having a long breakfast at the large window, watching the snow flakes fall and snow build up on the trees and ground. The kitchen is great. Apart from breakfast we ate out, but ideal for preparing your own meals. Great place! Wished we'd stayed longer.

Beautiful cabin, clean, spacious and quiet! Very friendly and informative staff. Conveniently located 5 minutes walk from the info centre where you can take the shuttle bus to begin your daily hikes.
The cottages are beautiful and beautifully kept with well equipped kitchens (sharp knives) and lots of thoughtful touches such as the handmade soaps for the spa and th many plugs and benches. Also the staff - Brendan - was amazingly helpful and flexible when we wanted to change our dates. The landscaping makes it feel private and it’s very close to everything, making it a great base for walking.
Perfect mountain cabin with a fire. Super private and comfortable. Staff were great and super helpful.
