Today on 2nd April 21, at around 11:30 am I went to Costi's at Blacktown Westpoint shopping centre. I ordered for fresh chips, paid 5.90 by cash. Waited for the chips. Finally I saw one of the staff rostered for today ( he didn't wear prescription glasses), putting the prepared chips in the box and he touched the cooked chips in the box with his bare hands. He put it in a paper bag and he gave it to me. This guy didn't wear any gloves. He gave that to me and I refused to buy. I asked him, why hygiene is not followed especially during the Covid pandemic without wearing a gloves. Then he didn't threw it when I refused to take that packet of chips. Instead he kept it in a tray for sale. He tried to put a packet of chips in the oil to fry again, where, so many things like battered fish chips are fried again and again, in the same oil in one business day which is not healthy and it appears that Costi doesn't seem to care for customers health. I have a medical condition and I never wanted to eat food from an outlet which doesn't have any hygiene and use the same oil for frying. I asked him how many times would you use the same oil. I demanded my money back and I will never buy cooked food from here again. You can watch the CCTV footage for investigation.

Extremely rude staff, bought a kingfish from here( which looked undersized as a kingfish could) asked the people behind the counter for them to fillet and take off the skin. Took it home to find my kingfish fillets were left with enough meat to feed a kitten. I went back to show them and they came with every excuse you could think of, rather than apologizing. I took home a different kingfish skinned it myself and had 2-3 times the amount of kingfish. Either hire people that can take a complaint or hire people to fillet your fish properly. I will do everything in my power to stop people from coming here. The fish is fresh but the attitudes aren't.

This shop offers a wide variety of fresh seafood as well as take away seafood dishes that are available for you to just grab and go or made to order for you. Seafood is always fresh and the hot food is delicious. Highly recommend.

Never go to this shop for fish. The employees are extremely rude and liers. I got salmon from thrm and when I checked it at home it was all smelling and uneatable. We went back the next day and they wasted half an hour just to get the details and then said come back tomorrow. Next day wasted my time again and did nothing. Never make such a mistake to go to this shop who sell rotten fish and have hired fraudsters who don't know their job and don't even know a word about customer service.

Really disappointing experience, ordered bbq octopus & chips from the hot food counter. No other food was being cooked & so i thought it wouldn't take too long. A few minutes later alot of other hot food started getting cooked along with mine although no customers around. Long story short Uber Eats order came through & my order got pushed back. After 25 minutes of waiting i demanded my money back they kept saying 3 minutes & that the Uber order came in first but no one was cooking when i arrived. Customers waiting at the counter but Uber eats comes first. Got my money back & i will not be returning

Mostly great food everytime...except for today, pinapple fritters and fish cocktails were too oily.
