Pros: - stunning location - right next to beach - beautiful architecture and decor, outside and inside buildings - fantastic breakfast - great pool and poolside setup Cons: - pricey, especially in peak season - service ok but not quite five star levels - bit of a limited room service selection - few minor quibbles with the room (clunky TV setup, not much towel rack space for drying, no physical hotel info book/folder) Overall I would say 4.5 stars, they could be world class if they up their service skills a bit.

I have stayed in many marinas along the east coast of Australia, the Anchorage Marina however surpasses anything I have experienced previously. Nothing is too much trouble in the way of giving assistance, and professional help. I cannot recommend this marina highly enough. Its located on a beautiful point with very attractive walks to the east and west. The shopping center is close by not to mention a beautiful swimming beach just a 5 minute walk. The marina itself is very new and has 1st class facilities. parking is secure and plentiful close by. I would like thank Patrick, Dane and Stacey for a very friendly and memorable stay. Definitely a must stop if doing a marina stay in Port Stephens. Bob & Chris

This is an excellent marina, well protected, easy to get in and out of and very well run. Amenities are clean with lots of hot water. There is plenty of parking. Patrick and his staff are professional and friendly and always willing to help. They check lines and power to your vessel each morning and can put you in touch with all services required. We will return to the anchorage.
