Thanks Pete from Pete Sews for helping me turn my bespoke suit idea into a piece of artwork reality. I worked with Pete remotely, doing measurements over Skype (which was really easy). The suit is made of natural flax linen with bespoke colorful lining. Pete was even happy to sew on some wooden buttons that I had hand made. The whole process of creating something like this was a great experience! I highly enjoyed Pete's enthusiasm in the process and the extra creativity he added to the finished product. To own one of Pete's creations is an absolute privilege and it certainly turns heads whenever I wear it! Now I'm looking at more fabrics for a few shirts!

I was referred to Pete after purchasing suiting fabric from Johno's Fabric Centre at Duporth Avenue. I’m very grateful for the referral to Pete Sews because I’d been unable to find a Sunshine Coast tailor on online searches. My initial consultation with Pete was relaxed and he easily understood the look I was aiming for – loose fitting but tailored Forties style trousers with a matching vest. I provided a vest I already had as model. Pete made and cut the pattern for the pants and the vest. Both turned out exactly as expected…my vision perfectly translated into a unique and stylish outfit that’s an excellent fit. I’ve had business suits tailored in the past so I know how tailors work. Pete has all the expertise of any of the bespoke tailors I’ve used in the past.
Love love love my bespoke heirlooms made by Pete! My high-quality cape jacket, hat and even my dog's coat all feature a cut of the same sentimental length of tartan. Highly recommended.
