I was told this place is a local institution, and we were not disappointed. Friends and I spent an afternoon people watching, drinking great coffee and enjoying fantastic food with great wine. A special mention to our waiter Richard. He was super knowledge about the menu and couldn't have done anymore to make our visit truely enjoyable.

Came in between breakfast and lunch, lucky enough to order both the same time. A bit average compare to other brunch places in Syd, but considering the town overall experience it is great. Coffee is great and so is the service. Would possibly come back if I come to Newcastle again.
We were pleasantly surprised by Goldbergs' which we had chosen randomly. The dahl was excellent with beautifully crunchy fried curry leaves on top. The pasta sauce was rich and creamy although the entire dish was a bit too salty with the pancetta, parmesan and we assume some extra salt added. We'd still order it again though!
My family and I have been coming to Goldbergs for years. Such a relaxing setting with a wide variety of delicious food served by friendly staff. Hands down, one of the best cafes in Newcastle - could not recommend it more!
Everyone's favourite place to grab a coffee and something to eat in Darby street. Goldberg's has never disappointed in the 18 years we have visited. Kudos to the management and staff
Great food with friendly and efficient service. Today we had the big breakfast and French toast coupled with a cappuccino and apple juice. Both breakfast dishes were great!
Nice place. I asked for a long black which eas good but could be better. The best, is open 7- mid night!
Great lunch venue with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were friendly and attentive. Leave room for the deep dish apple pie, yum!
