Worth a visit purely for the Malting Lagoon beer, made in some local guys kitchen, they say. The depth of taste would support more alcohol, but it's a great flavour.

We were holidaying in Launceston. After going/walking through scenic walks we were very hungry so went for dinner at Iluka tavern. We found the service was good and food was okay. It's close to the city centre.
The Iluka tavern serves good honest pub fare. The onion rings were surprisingly good, and the chicken Parmy (with choice of sauce) was pretty impressive also. Not usually my first choice in dinner options, but they did it really well. Great prices on the wine list also.
A great "local" atmosphere especially on Thursday happy hour. A great credit to the great little town of Coles Bay
Came in on a quiet Thursday afternoon for lunch. Got the porterhouse steaks and a glass of Pinot noir. A fantastic pub meal- just what we needed after a big hike! :) thank you Iluka Tavern

Had a great local traditional creamy Irish ale. Food had a couple vego options. They have a pool table and can sit outside with dogs
Wow delicious cider and beer at the most delicious prices we've ever paid Australia wide, and the sin is it's on tap....They are charging 5 star prices.......probably 200% or more markup.
