Was looking forward to staying here overnight in our self contained motorhome. Lovely place otherwise.
No camping allowed to many stuped people winging about them blocking the walk way
Wow, 10:10 one of the best free camps/stops in Australia. Does not get much better than this beautiful stop. Seriously, this stop is like in an enchanted island - in of all places - Cobar - amazing. Thank You Cobar. Highly Recommended
Beautiful recreational water area with plenty of Birdlife after recent rain. Camping no longer permitted.
Great free overnight camp. Pretty. Lots of birdlife around reserve. You can walk the whole way around. Flushing loos. Could be improved by having covered bins to stop birds spreading rubbish and toilet roll dispensers that were a bit more theft proof.
I grew up in Cobar, and it is a beautiful reserve for picnics, barbecues, lazing around, or sending your dog in for a swim. Most unfortunately now, the Newey has almost dried up, but faith is there that it will get refilled again with a lot of rain.
