Very unique visit with beautiful bright blue radiation ️water. No swimming. Sadly road is old with pot holes and some missing signs make mine harder to find than it should be.

I enjoy going there to relax, but what I have noticed is that some people are unloading their water equipment in the swimming area which is very dangerous for the swimmers, there is a boat ramp there for that purpose. This park has been set up for everyone to enjoy and use so I would like to see it being used for the safety of all concerned.

Very much a wow factor place. A freebie campsite. It is hard to imagine it was a thriving mining town. When the mine shut down they took everything leaving only the cement slabs and roads. A must do is drive the 6kms to the mine site. Absolutely stunning.

Fantastic museum on the area and its people which my wife and I spent a few hours enjoying the exhibits and looking at the rock samples and fossils. The machinery in the parklands were well presented and the park was well kept with places to sit and relax. Very well run and maintained museum with a café for some lunch.
