Last Friday, my phone slipped off my lap and directly into a storm water drain as I was exiting the back of my friend's vehicle. I was convinced that it was gone for good and I would soon be forking out another 1000 for a replacement. Thank God for Craig Murden and the drainage team. They immediately contacted my partner about my enquiry and were able to retrieve it within a few hours. Not only that but because there were two grates next to one other (I wasn't sure which it was), they lifted both and searched around in torso deep sludge in order to find my missing phone. Craig then hand delivered my phone to my workplace and asked absolutely nothing in return. Exceptional service. I can't speak any more highly of Craig and his team!

I've recently been to your Town Hall office for a Parking Permit and on a separate occasion, a change of address for our Dog! I just want say how friendly and efficient your Customer Service Desk staff are!! They were welcoming and helpful with both these issues!! Thanks to your frontline Customer Service Desk staff on the 2nd Floor!
Called up to pay my rates after trying to register online. The registration email was never sent to me. Was told they cannot send me an email to re-register for online rates, nor could assist me with paying my bill. Useless.
my experiences with them were never really good.. if u want to ask them how will you pay the council fee or something related with "paying them"...,they will get back to you instantly..,and help you thoroughly!! But if its about a problem to be solved ...they just disappear. Wish there were more capable people with the management.
Our Sydney Council bins wasn’t empty on the scheduled day, I rang the same day to let them know about it and to rectify the situation.... until this day we have not hear from the city council. Second to none type of service!
A great council. Am kept in the loop on recent developments, and Clover and her team do a great job in with the fabulous parks and aquatic centres etc. Big thanks for the Christmas concerts too. Love the tree at Martin Place (so lucky to live nearby) and for the concert at Surry Hills. Brown Sugar are so entertaining. Thanks for the fireworks too! So grateful to live in the City of Sydney Council area.
This council is great to deal with. Most things can be done on line but even when a phone call is necessary the response is always prompt and helpful. Their multi-skilled customer service staff are superb, congratulations to whoever selects and trains their help-desk staff.
The one star is for the normal business hours staff only. After Hours phone service is a hit and miss and some rangers refuses to attend matters ! I ask you this ...what are we paying for with our taxes and rates ? BLudgers ? The phone service after hours can also be hit & miss.
